- Look! A homecoming picture (more later, really really really, I promise!)!
- My wedding dress is in! (I haven't run in weeks ... here's hoping it zips up!)
- K and I are going to be famous! (OK, not quite.) There's a media outlet that does a little love story-type feature, and K and I got interviewed for it today!

Thanks for the picture.
Makes it worth all of the times I logged on looking for news about how you guys are doing. Seems pretty good from my foxhole. Keep it up. Communication and honesty is what works best. Of course, how you approach or broach a subject of concern can be just as important as the subject.
When our kids lived with us we had a rule that only the truth could be spoken at the dinner table. A question asked deserved an honest answer. As time passed the subjects included use of illegal drugs, premarital sex, petting, driving, car insurance, honesty, etc. We had a pretty good relationship with our kids. They knew us and understood why we set boundaries and challenges. Sure, we were an Army family but it was a little bit different. We didn't live on base. In fact, we didn't even live in the US of A very much. For about 25 years I was on Embassy duty. We went from country to country and once in a while spent up to six months in the states while I went to an advanced school or a language school. Our kids were what we call "third culture kids". They are grown and gone now and we have super grand children. So, it works out in the long run.
Let us know when you're going to be on tv or in the newsprint. We love to follow success stories.
A word of caution.....if your zipper is not working right, don't let K try to move it with a pair of pliers. I know from experience that doesn't work and it just might make matters worse!! I ruined a ball gown that my wife had made for a Marine Corps Ball.
I'm sure it will fit! This is all so exciting!! Don't leave us hanging too long!
