outside oklahoma: Merry Christmas, Oklahoma style!

K: my superhero husband, who is in the Army and completed a 13(-plus)-month tour in Iraq in January. We have been married since September of 2007.
Piper: my dog, who was born in May of 2006. She has a (natural) mohawk. It's awesome.
AJ: my cycling buddy, who I met randomly while training for a 150-mile bike ride. We became instant friends.
CG: one of my best friends, who I also met in college (And I met K at her wedding! She married K's old roommate.).
Danielle: a good friend from college. She was there when K and I got engaged and when I found my Florida wedding dress.
ER: one of my best friends, who I met in college.
Jeremy: my "personal trainer"/workout buddy, who is a friend from college.
Rachel: my friend since kindergarten. We were roommates all through college.

Merry Christmas, Oklahoma style!

I'm heading to Oklahoma tonight for bridesmaid duty! I'm really looking forward to my friends' wedding, and I'm so excited to get to be a part of it.

One thing I'm also excited about is that this time of year in Oklahoma, there's no way of avoiding hearing a certain little jingle. It's been around for decades, and it's really become Oklahoma's own little Christmas carol. (I'm so not exaggerating -- we used to sing this thing on bus trips in high school!)
