I tried to change the background of my blog last night, and I found some adorable ones I really liked. I entered them into my HTML code, and they looked great in the preview. So I republished my blog, and every time it was white on the edges where it used to at least be solid pink.
For some reason, what's previewing isn't what's happening. But you should see the preview. It's adorable!

OK I just viewed your page source, it looks like you have 2 http:// addresses in there somehow. Try taking one out and republishing it and maybe that will work.
I have the same preview-dosesn't-equal-actual problem... it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating.
I had to get my page to look the way it does now by trial and error. Not cool!
I've forgotten all about blogger and how to fix the quirks, but what Girl said sounds like it would work.
